After a year of major attacks on big businesses across the UK, Cybersecurity Awareness Month offers a chance to reflect and reassess where the industry stands, with 43% of UK businesses having faced a cybersecurity breach or attack in the last 12 months. When speaking with ITBrief, Martin Jakobsen, Managing Director at Cybanetix, spoke on the importance of firms utilising coherent processes to enable quicker response times, allowing risks to be addressed before they become breaches.
‘Clearly, no company is safe. It’s no longer a case of if but when you’ll be attacked. In that context, firms must rethink their security mindset. Now, more than ever, firms must have a coherent process in place to allow them to respond to events quickly to address risks before they turn into breaches.’
